Cowboy Church
Preparing people for the ride
of life by being the church.
"Cowboy wisdom says that every man has the dream
to be a cowboy, the difference comes with how the details to make the dream come true are worked out. While that may be true, and not every man becomes a cowboy, the cowboy philosophy can be adopted
and lived out in every person’s life. I think that Jack Terry summed up
that philosophy in his book “The Great Trail Ride." In his book, Terry
said, “The cowboy knew that life had a purpose, which was directly linked to the relationship with his Maker. It was not something to be discovered from fortune, power or personal fame.
He was put here to be a caretaker of God’s creation. A steward of
the land, livestock and people he loved.” Someone else has said that the cowboy life is a life of simplicity, purity, honesty and integrity. All of these traits are also to found in the life of a Christian. Combining these two ideas lends itself to the thoughts and ideas of The Cowboy Church. Our life on this earth should be a simple life of purity, honesty and integrity that can only come through a personal relationship with our Maker, God, through His son, Jesus Christ. Because of this, we are stewards and caretakers of God’s creation and the people He has placed in our life."
We invite you to become a part of a church where these basic tenets of the Christian faith are the building blocks of every other thing we will do.
Cowboy Church is currently held on Saturday nights at 6:00 PM in the Main Barn here at Palm Valley Ranch. Dress is casual, boots and jeans are fine, and the atmosphere is very laid back . . . just as a cowboy would expect it to be!
For the yungins, Youth Group meets Thursday nights at 7:00 pm in the youth building. Our youth leaders Tim and Karen guide our youth through verses, skits, and some of the best games....and best of all the kids enjoy it. Come out and join us.
